MUSIC
As the melting pot of different cultures, languages and identities, Lowry is known for its vibrant and diverse music. The campus life and culture here provides boundless opportunities to discover, cultivate and hone musical talents, both instrumental and vocal. Musical ensembles perform every week at Chapel period, morning & evening worship and every weekends at Church. Festival of Music is an annual event that sees gospel choirs and groups from all over the city and a few from neighbouring states, perform live.
DANCE
At Lowry, we encourage our students and staff to participate in, and perform folk dances that capture the essence of the diverse cultures they represent.
INTER-DEPARTMENT FESTS
The academic year is designed to include inter-department fests organised by various clubs Viz. Arts Club – Arethusa Fest, Business Club – GENESIS Fest, Science Club – Synergy Fest and Cyber Club – Loco Fest. These Fests provide students with not only an opportunity to develop their organisational, event management and coordination skills but also a platform to exhibit their talents.
LOWRY MASTERMIND
Organised by the Computer Club, Lowry Mastermind is a quiz competition with a rolling trophy which seeks to identify the best minds in the campus.
HEALTH & TEMPERANCE
Every year the schools & colleges organise separate Health & Temperance contests for their respective students.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
The college management organises two FDPs (one technical and one non-technical) each academic year. Eminent personalities and subject experts from the industry, academia, and high ranking university officials are invited to take up sessions on emerging technologies, recent trends, best practices and other matters pertaining to education. Faculty from other colleges also register and take part in this event.
BOOK EXHIBITION
The annual Book Exhibition is an event organised by the four Libraries within the campus. Hundreds of books under various genres in multiple languages are displayed, and students are encouraged to take up reading non-curriculum books, as a hobby.
LEADERSHIP CAMP
The annual leadership camp is organised by the college to empower the leaders of tomorrow. Activities are designed to inspire young people and to enable them to discover their potential.
CITIZENSHIP CAMP
The citizenship camp is part of the curriculum of our D.El.Ed. program. Primary School teachers to be are required to travel to rural areas and interact with the local communities in order to enhance their awareness of socially and financially developing sections of society. This camp allows the participants to carry out their responsibilities as citizens.
INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Our college organises industrial visits to prominent public and private industries to give our business students an exposure to the workings of the industry and the real world application of the things they learn in the classroom.
GUEST LECTURES, SEMINARS & SYMPOSIUMS
Our college students look forward to guest lectures by accomplished individuals both entrepreneurs and professionals from various fields. Seminars & symposiums are also organised as a regular feature of our Student Development Program.
